Opportunities From: Healthy Birth Day, Inc. creator of Count the Kicks

Count the Kicks is looking for a volunteer to set up a table to distribute materials and answer any questions for expectant parents.

We are looking for a volunteer who can host an educational table and share Count the Kicks materials with attendees.

Help will host an educational table at the Southside VA clinic to represent Count the Kicks. The primary goal is to empower expectant parents with the knowledge that kick counting in the third trimester is a vital and evidence-based way to improve birth outcomes and prevent stillbirth.

Key responsibilities include:

Education: Teaching parents the importance of tracking "kicks" and how to identify changes in their baby’s normal movement patterns.

App Promotion: Encouraging parents to download and use the free Count the Kicks app.

Engagement: Distributing educational brochures, kick-counting bracelets, and sharing resources.

Advocacy: Serving as a friendly, supportive resource for families who attend the event.

We are looking for volunteers to host a table and hand out Count the Kicks materials at the Ripley County Baby Shower. 

Ripley County Health Department and Southeastern IN FIMR are excited to announce
their partnership for Ripley County’s 2026 Community Baby Shower: Bah-Bah-Baby!
Community Baby Showers are a fun, low-pressure way for the public to receive
information, education, referrals, and resources. There’s a lot of unknowns and questions
when growing your family, and our goal is to help make sure Ripley County families are
healthy, well, and well-informed.

The event will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10AM-2PM at the Ripley
County Annex building (where the Health Department is located).
